Instructions butterfly gala #simply stamping

I am so pleased to include this simple card

as part of the pootlers blog hop for Jan 2019
When you have to make a card in a hurry and dont have much time, its best to go back to basics with simple stamping. Using just the barest minimum of supplies, you can do a card that looks impressive and thoughtful. Join me

and watch as I take you through this step by step, complete with mistakes so you can see ways to get around them. as I demonstrate the Butterfly gala from Stampin up.

Using a dauber, and circular motions sponge your darkest colour at the bottom of the card and work your way up the card centre, changing to lighter colours as you move up. gradually decreasing the area covered to make a "trail" behind where your butterflies will be.

Using the butterfly punch, punch out a post it note and stick this onto where you want your butterflies to be at the top half angled to the left. This will mask a section of card so no ink can be put there. Use your lightest colour and dauber and starting at the centre of the mask, brush outwards to just over the edge and then lift the mask off to reveal the butterfly silhouette beneath

Place and secure your card in the stamperatus and place your main stamp in position where the mask was. Close the lid to pick up the stamp. Ink with your darkest contrasting ink and stamp in place. Using the second lid side one, place the second stamps of the 2 part stamping set which stamps the background to your butterfly in place over the stamped image and follow above steps for stamping, using the lighter inks. one colour for the bottom wings. repeat this for the top wings on side 2 of your stamping plate and another lighter colour

Mount bodies and antenna onto small stamp block and stamp using black ink

Remove card, mount Crackle paint stamp onto block F and ink up one small corner in a shade of ink previously used for the background stamping.
Leaving your stamp flat and face up. place the corner to be stamped of your card over the stamp and press down to stamp the card.

Stamp sentiment
