Thank you for caring "stampin'up! card

Thank you for caring
All that glitters! and then some, with this enchanting card. using "oh so eclectic die" set from stampin up, glitter paper, and also a diamond window insert from the same stamp set.

I used 5 x 7 card base.  whisper white and die cut the 4 corners from the "oh so eclectic" set..

I cut a window from the centre big enough for the diamond and put some of the blue glitter card behind the diamond to bring it up.  Layered this onto the glitter paper, but with soft sky behind the main diamond.

I used stampin ups washi tape  and the sentiment was cut using a die set I already owned onto whisper white.

I then added "brusho" blues and a hint of yellow to get the peacock greens. The sentiment "For caring" was from an old stampin up "lots of thanks" stamp set.
I completed the project using Glossy accents  on all the diamonds to make them shine, and of course win k of stella on the sentiment, so it wasnt overshadowed by all the glitter going on.

A clean and simple card with 2 tones, ideal for many occasions.
Ideas to step it up would be turn it into a shaker card. Inlay different colours in the diamonds

An apple for teacher

Stampin'Up! project

School leaving card using new "picked for you" stamp set. and the new in colour "poppy Parade"
5 x 7 base card.

I embossed whisper white mat using a 3D spellbinders embossing folder. i've used for many steampunk designs, and I felt that keeping it simple and uncoloured would be the perfect backdrop for my apple.

The apple is a 3 step stamp, and for this I found the new Stampin up stamperatus ideal as I could set up all 3 stamps plus the stalk on the 2 windows, using both sides.

The colours I used were the new in colour "Poppy parade", "Real red" and "Cherry cobbler". The leaves was from the lovely harvest stamp set another 2 step watercolour style stamp set. With its own punch to cut the leaves. Garden green and Emerald Envy were the colour choices.

The branch was die cut using the branch from stampin ups "Colorful seasons set" using stampin ups wood papers. which I also used as a mat for the embossed whisper white.

Finally sentiments.
I found "helping me grow" had a wonderful sentiment that I had to incorporate, along with again sentiments from the new "Picked for you". I think this new stamp set is perfectly timed for school leavers, but I can see use all year round, harvest, etc.

To finish off, I gave the apple a little dimension with a juicy dew drop using "Nuvo clear", by Tonic studios, and brought it to life with a generous coating of "wink of stella". the latter can be purchased from stampin up.

So to recap, this has used the most stampin'up items of all my projects to date. I certainly recommend the new in colours, these are free if you become a demonstrator this month. Or you can ge them from the new catalogue

Tea light holder

Ok NOT a rosette. Not a card either. I decide to do a tea light holder . Not sure who to give it to, so let me know i you want it., also let me know if you want a youtube tutorial
This one has a lot of techniques in it.
1/ Started with blank kraft cardstock. Die cut 4 framed windows.Stamped wood grain effect. . Put vellum in each window.
2/ printed out girl thanks to kathy for her, duplicated her and cut out a second skirt. Cut vellum twice as long and pleated. Using parchment pens I did the embossing work on her underskirt. re pleated skirt back to size, glues onto waist and trimmed to shape. then pleated the over skirt to match an place that over vellum skirt. glued on small bow to cover up the waistline.
Cut 2 large, medium, flowers from white card stock, 2 each small and X small in yellow card stock. I then printed flowers on in melon mambo and peekaboo peach. Using the Heartfelt 3 d shaper. i spritzed with water, then ran them through the big shot.
Glued flowers to lantern, glued lantern together, put girl on one side.
Obviously being cardstock you would not put a real tea light in, but you can get battery ones. I will get  a pic later of it lit up so you can see.
